Designing the first-gen Intuit Expert Portal

Scaling TurboTax Live meant solving a problem most customers never see: the experience on the other side of the conversation. In the product’s first season, experts were working across a patchwork of third-party tools — functional, but not built for the job. As a design lead on the founding team, I helped build the Intuit Expert Portal (IEP) from the ground up — a proprietary application that consolidated everything tax professionals needed into a single, cohesive experience: client lists, scheduling, cover sheets, tax form views, and more. A foundational release that set the design and operational baseline for a platform that would go on to support thousands of experts.
