Sparticl: gamifying science learning for teens
The challenge: aggregate thousands of STEM resources from National Geographic, PBS, museums, and science centers into something that 10-14 year-olds would voluntarily use. The solution: gamification meets curation. As UX designer for TPT’s Sparticl portal, I designed a responsive platform where every interaction—rating videos, commenting on articles, sharing discoveries—earned points, badges, and status. The result transformed expert-vetted educational content into a social experience where learning was the side effect of competition and curiosity.
